From the courtyard or the windows of the cottage, your gaze wanders over the meadows where sheep, a horse, and a donkey graze peacefully. In the morning, the rooster's crow accompanies your awakenings, and it's not uncommon to spot free-range chickens that bring a touch of rustic charm to the garden.

When the sun returns, the swimming pool invites you to relax in the heart of lush greenery that exudes calm and serenity.

And to prolong these moments, the pool house becomes the place for reunions: an open kitchen and a comfortable outdoor lounge , perfect for sharing meals, aperitifs or summer evenings in a friendly atmosphere.

THE EXTERIOR

A LITTLE HISTORY...

The Château de La Touche, a seigneury mentioned in 1427, comprises a courtyard surrounded by outbuildings on three sides and enclosed by the main building. The two-story building is topped with a hipped roof. A pavilion, also with a slate hipped roof, projects from the courtyard. This is a fine 17th-century rubble-stone construction, datable thanks to its dormer windows with rounded pediments and finials, and its segmental arched windows. The size of the dormer windows and the dimensions of the windows confirm its typical 17th-century style.

RICHELIEU'S IDEAL CITY

Located at the borders of Touraine , Anjou and Poitou , the city is today on the edge of the Vienne department and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

Built between 1631 and 1642, the new town of Richelieu bears the imprint of its founder and patron, Cardinal Richelieu , and stands as a remarkable example of 17th-century urban planning. This " ideal city ," designed by the renowned architect Jacques Lemercier , is based on a grid plan modeled after Roman cities or medieval bastides. It is structured around two squares, enclosed by ramparts and monumental gates. Today, it is a major heritage site, located within a protected area and benefiting from a preservation and enhancement plan since 1997.

The town of Richelieu is located south of Chinon , west of Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine in the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Natural Park .

It borders the department of Vienne and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region; it should also be noted that Richelieu was referred to as "in Poitou " before the current division of departments; the communes bordering Richelieu on the south and west side are located in the department of Vienne.
